English Class Assignments

5^TH.  Unit.

Buenas tardes alumnos, les hago llegar la asignación de trabajos pendientes basados en su libro mayormente de los cuales varios de ustedes ya tienen conocimiento y debida entrega a la fecha (mayormente alumnos del grupo 3ro. “C”). Sin embargo de este grupo existen algunos cuantos alumnos que tienen varias de estas actividades pendientes, pido hagan su debida revisión de pendientes para hacer caso omiso o entrega de ciertas actividades aqui adjuntas.

Grupo 3ro. D a la fecha tiene todas las actividades aqui adjuntas pendientes, favor de hacer oportuna entrega para su revisión.

Penúltima y última actividades no han sido entregadas por ninguno de los grupos 

3ro. C. Y 3ro D respectivamente, favor de realizarlas.

Última actividad obedece a una reflexión basada igual en temas que se piden en su libro sobre debates. Ahí vienen las instrucciones y breves explicaciones de esta y otras actividades fáciles de realizar.

La realización y entrega del trabajo es en estas mismas hojas de word llenando los espacios en blanco con su pertinente respuesta.

Tomen su tiempo, pero hagan entrega oportuna de los pendientes a fin de dar solución más efectiva para sus evaluaciones finales. La confirmación se hará conforme se vayan recibiendo los pendientes y la puntuación agregada será anunciada en dichas confirmaciones de envío.

Make use of apostrophe to emphasize possessives.

IE.-  She is David’s Girlfriend – Ella es la novia de David (en donde el apóstrofe marca la posesión de David la cual es su novia, el adjetivo GIRLFRIEND.

Activity 16 – Rewrite the following sentences  using synonyms of the underlined words.

Escribe de nuevo los siguientes enunciados usando  los sinónimos de las palabras subrayadas.

A verb expresses action, in this case the verb acts in a pssive way when using the past participle form, either way is a regular verb adding  -ed, -ied or –d or irregular verb which changes its root form.

IE.-  The player is TAKEN out of the  game - irregular verb using past participle form.

        Mary isn’t TOUCHED by her feelings – regular verb using past participle form.

En ambos casos se habla de de lo que al sujeto le ha pasado al ser afectado por el verbo en pasado participio ya sea EL JUGADOR SACADO DEL JUEGO o MARY QUE NO ES CONMOVIDA POR SUS SENTIMIENTOS, etc.

Activity 8- Read the sentences and answer the question.

Then underline the passive verbs / Lee los enunciados y responde la pregunta al final. Luego subraya los verbos pasivos.

1-      Millions of uniforms are sold every year. They often cost less money and are easier to provide than popular , fashionable clothes.

2-      In uniform everyone looks the same. There is no religion, no rich and no poor. Everyone is esqual. People aren’t discriminated against because of their clothes.

3-      Creativity is expressed through clothes. Personality is seen in the clothes teens wear, and teens should have this freedom of expression at school.
